Friends, fans,families and well wishers of Lineo will be enthusiastic to know that June 2nd and 3rd have been scheduled to finally lay the entertainer's late mum to eternal rest. The venue will be their home town - Omu, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.
According to Lineo, his mother who had shown little sign of illness died in her sleep at her Ijebu-Ode residence in Ogun State. She was 61 years old.
Speaking to The Tattoo crew, Lineo said he went to see her on Monday, May 16, and returned to Lagos the next day. The visit turned out to be a farewell meeting than a regular visit.
"The whole thing was just a mystery because i never believed such an incident could occur, it was a shock to me because I was with her a few days before. We were gisting, sharing ideas, minds,jokes and embracing ourselves not knowing that would be the last. We prayed together, I won't forget when I looked back, and she waved bye bye. She was loved by everyone, she was a mother of all, she even stood by my friend who lost his mum, I will surely miss her forever because she was 100 percent supportive of my music", Lineo explains in grief and sad face"
Lineo who has performed in various cities and countries across the continent comes from a polygamous home whose father who died 15 years ago married 12 wives, making the young rapper one of his 40 children. He dropped out of school to pursue music but he has re-applied to continue at the Ogun State University where he will be studying Mass Communication.
